Not yet finished chassis. Quite huge for a preamp, around 42×42 cm in size. Some copper sheet shown on the picture for some section on the top plate.
Anothe shoot from above. I separate them into 3 chambers. What is the purpose, will see later.
Some sneak-peek on the final appearance later 😉

Where did you get the copper sheet from? How thich is it and how much? I need to get some for my project too.
Thanks,
William

Thanks.

October 25, 2011 05:36Pak Jimmy,

tks.

October 26, 2011 21:28Hi Pak,
Chassis kayu atau metal?
Thanks.

October 26, 2011 21:55Kombinasi, bagian sampling kayu Dan lain ya metal. Jd yg hrs dilubangi ya yg metal, di sisi atas, belakang Dan mungkin jg depan

October 26, 2011 21:57Hi Pak,
Coba join milis [email protected] dan [email protected]
Ada beberapa yang sanggup mengerjakan ini.
Saya ga enak rekomen satu dua nama, karena rata2 saya kenal baik. Harga silakan dinegokan sendiri nantinya.
Thanks.

October 27, 2011 18:42Ok tks.
Hal lain, berdasarkan pengalaman untuk ampli resistor jenis apa yg sebaiknya dipakai, miss Nya utk bagian power supply, signal path dst.
Tks.

October 27, 2011 22:45Hi Pak Ririek,
Thanks.

October 28, 2011 18:31Ok understood.
Let put another way, if you are the one who will build the tube amp, how you will select the resistors ? which type of resistor you will use for certain part of the amp ?
Thanks.

October 28, 2011 19:00Hi Pak Ririek,
Well, first, I will see what is my target design and what is my current parts used. If you were an experience DIYer, definitely you can just ‘imagine’ to ‘hear’ the final result. Example, I will not put Audio Note capacitor with 300B tubes, or put too much Kiwame on it.
So without knowing what I’m building, what tubes, what is the current parts used, what is the sounds like at the moment, etc, definitely answering your question is such impossible.
Definitely you can use almost any parts, as long the specification/rating is sufficient.
Thanks.

October 28, 2011 20:16Pak Jimmy,
I will build a PX25 based amp. All the transformers and chokes are from Electra Print with silver at the secondary of the OPT. I am expecting the amp will give natural sound, more detail, more transparent, dynamic and good staging. I am thinking of using Jensen capacitors for the electrolyte and Duelund Alexander series for the signal path. As for the resistors I am considering to use Shikoh tantalum for the signal path and Vishay bulk metal foil for the power supply. So what do you think about that ?
Thanks ya Pak.

October 28, 2011 22:45Some comments (take it as-is, could be good, could be bad):
– Considering you are really serious with the project, go with Duelund CAST. Alexander is no way compared to CAST.
– You will need a huge power resistor at power supply (with your project, I assume you do understand what you are doing). I don’t think you can go with Vishay bulk foil.
Thanks.

October 28, 2011 23:00I do agree with you that Duelund CAST is much better, however it is just too expensive. I did use it at the crossover for my horn.
I forgot to mention that for high power resistors, I am considering to use M-Resist or similar type.
Thanks.

October 29, 2011 00:17Hi,
You have chosen a lot of good parts for your project then… 🙂
Thanks.
